WELCOME!
The Central Valley Aviation Association (CVAA) was formed by Central California Pilots in 1968. From the beginning, CVAA has been a staunch advocate for this gem of an airport, making sure others including governmental agencies, developers and groups seeking to curtail or close Chandler know that they have an ardent foe. Secondly, CVAA has and continues to advocate for and protect the rights of the aviators and businesses based at the airport and all Central Valley aviators who utilize Fresno Chandler Executive Airport.
One of the unique features of Chandler is the fact that it is the last remaining airport whose terminal building, related support buildings and many of its hangers were constructed in 1936-1937 as part of the W.P.A. (Works Progress Administration) in the Art-Deco architecture of the period. The terminal and related facilities were recently restored to their Art-Deco period grandeur. Central Valley Aviation Association continues to support Fresno Chandler Executive Airport “Where the Past Supports the Future.”

October 2025 General Meeting
In lieu of our October 2025 General Meeting, CVAA will be attending the Korky Kevorkian Reedley Municipal Airport Open House to support Reedley Airport and the Reedley College Flight Science & AMT programs. If you are interested in flying over from Chandler that morning, coordinate with Isaiah at 559-417-8112. Attendance will count towards CVAA members' active status -- just be sure to sign in with a CVAA Board Member at the Open House. See you all there!
November 2025 Pilot Clinic
Join us for our Fall 2025 Pilot Clinic on November 1st, 2025 in the Sheriff's Air Squadron Hangar at Fresno Chandler Executive Airport. A donation of $50 per person is requested, all of which goes to students of the Reedley College Flight Science & AMT programs through CVAA's annual scholarships. Our 2025 Christmas Party will once again be jointly held with with Chapter 376 of the Experimental Aircraft Association at Sierra Sky Park on Saturday, December 6th. See the November 2025 edition of the Plane Scoop for full details.
